Addiction, Dopamine and Cellular Memory:

What the Body Remembers

When we talk about addiction (substance or behavioral), we are talking about a brain that has learned to survive through an automatic response.

Dopamine is not only the “neurotransmitter of pleasure”: it is the engine of anticipation, research, desire. When a behavior or substance repeatedly activates it, the brain reconfigures, lowers the natural response threshold, and increases the need for that stimulation.

There is a deeper level, on which Nutripuncture® focuses its attention: that of cellular memory, i.e. all the epigenetic, emotional, sensory and relational information recorded in cells from childhood, and often even before birth.

When a person has not been able to integrate a traumatic event, abandonment, a toxic relationship or when a phase of development remains incomplete, the body seeks, despite everything, a balance and often finds a way out in an automatic drive, i.e. in an addiction.

Many wellness practitioners and psychologists have observed how it is sometimes enough to evoke a traumatic event from his childhood in the consultant to see him go from a normal state to a state of suffering.

If the addiction is rooted in cellular memory, that’s where you need to intervene.

How Nutripuncture® Helps

Understanding addiction means looking beyond the behavior itself. Whether it involves a substance or a repeated behavior, addiction can be seen as a complex response involving the brain, the body, and deeply rooted patterns of adaptation.

By addressing not only the visible behavior but also the underlying patterns that may contribute to it, Nutripuncture® seeks to support a more holistic process of rebalancing. The objective is not simply to suppress the impulse, but to help the individual move toward greater freedom, awareness, and balance.

When the body no longer needs to rely on an automatic response, new possibilities for change can emerge.
